Montrose Squash Club members Keith Laurence, Peter Ellis and club treasurer Gordon Allan are pictured receiving a cheque for £500 from Montrose Round Table chairman Andrew Boyd.

The club were approached by Angus Council Leisure Services last year to provide squash coaching sessions to all P7s in the Montrose cluster.

Over 170 pupils took part.

Unfortunately the proposed funding from "Awards For All" to cover the costs for transportation and court fees didn't materialise and the cheque from Montrose Round Table will now cover costs.

It is hoped that funding will be in place to repeat the coaching this year.

Meanwhile the club are appealing last year's decision by "Awards For All".
