For the past three years, Tayside Fire and Rescue Community Safety Unit and Tayside Police have been running junior firefighting courses at various times throughout each year.

As part of the summer session, these youngsters were given a 'smoke and darkness' experience using the facilities at Petrofac in Forties Road to consolidate their previous training.

Mike Cassie, Crew Manager, is keen to hear from other young people who are interested in this kind of training.

The firefighters are also available to visit schools and youth groups with the Community Safety Unit.
